The primary focus of his legal practice is "media this one in defense of their First Amendment rights," according to his official biography. Philip Anschutz: The billionaire owner of AEG, parent company of AEG Live, is on the Jacksons' witness list. He recently pulled his company off the market after trying to sell it for $8 billion. Tim Leiweke: He was recently fired as AEG's president as Philip Anschutz announced he was taking a more active role in the company. The Jackson lawyers say Leiweke's e-mail exchanges with executives under him concerning Michael Jackson's health are important evidence in their case. Angela Merkel's recipe for success

24, 2013 8:29 a.m. ET BERLINGermany's federal employment agency protested the government's plans for a legal minimum wage, the latest sign of headwinds for Chancellor Angela Merkel after she made concessions to her new left-leaning governing partners. The head of the agency, Heinrich Alt, said in an article published Tuesday in a local Darmstadt newspaper that http://www.kiwibox.com/dominguezeeze/blog/entry/112349635/lance-armstrong-facing-lifetime-ban-loss-of-titles/?pPage=0 a federal minimum wage could reduce incentives for young people to seek vocational training. Merkel Draws Flak Over Minimum Wage

TheOlympics are extremely important forPutin. Putin is dying tosit alongside fellow world leaders, then spit openly intheir cups andenjoy watching them pretend that they didn't notice. Thanks, Merkel, for Freeing Khodorkovsky

Pretty much everything will depend on the internal horse-trading during the upcoming coalition talks between CDU/CSU and SPD and Greens, respectively. Ultimately, most political observers agree that Merkel's next government (and her last since she has already said she won't run again in 2017) will probably be a relaunch of the Grand Coalition with the SPD that she led during 2005-2009. While the SPD is rather reluctant to enter into such a deal (after all, it scored its worst post-war result in the 2009 elections), the party knows full well that a Grand Coalition is the preferred option for a majority of German voters. In theory, getting the SPD on board should also help Merkel break the political gridlock that has gripped German politics since the opposition SPD, Green and Left parties retain control of Germany's upper chamber (the Bundesrat), which nowadays needs to approve about half of all German laws. From an American perspective, the re-election of Angela Merkel is definitely good news and promises a certain stability and continuity in an otherwise rather weak and fluid European political leadership landscape.
More: http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/23/opinion/gartzke-merkel-victory/index.html

Kids’ Fitness Falters

On average, it takes children 90 seconds longer to run a mile than their counterparts did 30 years ago. Heart-related fitness has declined 5 percent per decade since 1975 for children ages 9 to 17. The American Heart Association, whose conference featured the research last week, says its the first to show that childrens fitness has declined worldwide during the last three decades. It makes sense. We have kids that are less active than before, said Dr. Stephen Daniels, a University of Colorado view site... pediatrician and spokesman for the heart association. Health experts recommend that children 6 and older get 60 minutes of moderately vigorous activity accumulated over a day. Only one-third of American kids do now.
Full story: http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20131124/LIFESTYLE04/131129768/Kids’-fitness-falters-

Caroline Kennedy Urges Japan To Play More Active Role Internatio

visit this site Lawyers and labor activists say the true number is many times higher and interns fear being sent home if they speak up despite government attempts to prevent abuses. In interviews with The Associated Press, eight current and former interns described being cheated of wages, forced to work overtime, having contracts withheld or being charged exorbitant rents for cramped, poorly insulated housing. Some said they were prohibited from owning cellphones. The internship system has been criticized by the U.N. and the U.S. State Department, which in its annual "Trafficking in Persons Report" said Japan is failing to stop cases of forced labor.
More: http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/foreign-trainees-japan-face-exploitation-20975609

"In France, you are likely to find heavier going," he said. "I don't think that would http://www.opendiary.com/entryview.asp?authorcode=E103676&entry=10007 suit her." In fact, her third-place finish in the go!! race before the Japan Cup -- the Group 1 Takarazuka Kinen at Hanshin -- generally was attributed to a soft turf course following a week of heavy rain. If the Paris race is off the table for Gentildonna, that would preclude a showdown between the top international fillies of 2013 -- Gentildonna and Arc winner Treve. Winning major races around the world often is a matter of being available at the right time and in the right place with the right reputation. Moore took over the mount on Gentildonna from proven Japanese rider Yasunari Iwata after the filly failed to win in any of her previous three starts this year. Although she ran well in each race, she settled for second in the Group 1 Dubai Sheema Classic in March and then was third and second in two earlier races in Japan. Moore said he was notified while in California for the Breeders' Cup races that he could have the mount on Gentildonna.
More: http://www.upi.com/Sports_News/2013/11/24/Ryan-Moore-savors-Japan-Cup-win-looks-to-future-glory/UPI-17221385332928/

"The fund idea is created by the government, most of the money is provided by the government, the government raises funds from the private sector and the government assembles the fund managers," said Takeuchi, chief executive of Brightrust PE Japan Co. "Investments from the private investors are very small and are nothing more than a token of their support for the government initiative." Abe's government , which has pumped more than $3 billion into state-linked funds investing in Japanese companies, expects annual returns of 7 percent to 9 percent from the Cool Japan Fund, said a person directly involved in the project. But Takeuchi said by email that returns in the high single digits would not be considered sufficient, "considering the complications and potential conflict inherent in the public-private structure". The news fund's remit, according to its website, runs from anime and other comics to movies, TV programmes, games, fashion and local products such as lacquerware, beauty products and food. Its aims are broader than investor returns.
More: http://www.businessinsider.com/cool-japan-fund-2013-11
